Turn signal issues - only one is on?
Hi all.
When I turn my switch left, all three lights come on (front, rear and the left signal on the dash). When I do right, front is out (might be a bulb) but the dash doesnt come on and the rear stays solid.
I changed the flasher but it didn't help. Should I be replacing the whole turn signal assembly???

And the dash woould stay lit. Does the dash indicator light up when you use the hazards? If so the bulb is good

You will probably have to spend some time behind your dash this winter, Do you have some place to work on it? You will need to replace the turn signal bulb and while you're in there, I would replace all the old bulbs, and check anything that is suspect while you are there. Get a good wiring diagram for your year and find the flasher relays. You will have to check the wiring for both to see of they have been messed with. The relays are cheap and you my want to replace the turn signal flasher while its easily accessible. My 68 is under the center console, I didn't see the year of your vette.
The switche for both are in the column and can be gotten to by taking the wheel and trim off the column. Both adventures are involved and take time and patience. Take pictures durng the disassembly so you can see where the wiring and parts go when you put it back together. The dash harness can be a pain. To make this whole process less painful I removed both of my seats and unbolted the steering column after removing the wheel. Start with the passenger side and work towards the driver side. reassembly is the reverse. Ziplock all parts/screws and label them. Left dash, center console upper and lower, etc......
While I had mine apart I cleaned and repainted the gauge panel and all that.
