Floor jacks and '75
Should windows be up or down, doors and hood shut tightly or left loose, and t-tops on or off when using floor jacks to jack up a 75? Thank you.

My tops are off, doors closed, windows down, pretty much every time, just because that's how my car is, usually. I don't give it a 2nd thought. I just use two floor jacks if I'm putting it up on 4 jackstands to jack it evenly side-to-side. I think if doors open or closed, windows up or down, or whatever, makes a difference, the car has other problems.

^ ^ ^ Thanks for that. I've never given it a second thought, either. I came across an article and read a few comments that gave me reason to second guess.

When i jack up my car i dont do any of that stuff, the one thing i have noticed is if you jack up a rear corner the hood gets pretty close to the body. if you are doing work to it i would assume the front or back is up which wont be a problem. If it is just to change a tire I wouldn't worry about it either.

You can use a jack stand and set the car on the lowest height. I have been restoring my rims one by one so i have the wheel of for weeks at a time. I found a block of wood that is like 3x8x12, and i set that under the frame with the 8 inch being the height and drop the car and it is at ride height.

I just unlatch the t-tops which makes them slightly looser, because someone mentioned that they cracked the paint on theirs by jacking up. I have nice paint so I don't want to risk it.
I did notice a very tiny bit of flex in the gaps on the doors (gaps appear closer/further depending) when I jack up one side at a time. So what I do is go up a little bit and put a jack stand, then go to the other side and throw a jack stand. Then go back to 1st side and jack up more then raise jack stand and then to the 2nd side....
