Rear quarter trim installation
My '68 convertible didn't have the rear quarters when I got it. I got a used driver's side from a local guy and thought I should test fit it while I'm fighting the rear carpet install. Something isn't right (and it's probably me...). Here's where I am:
1. If I line the holes up in the door post (well, sort of... the best I can do is really angled), the top curved piece interferes with the top fiberglass and won't fit. My old used piece is broken so I can at least hold it in the right position, but it's way off on the top.
2. If I put the curved piece in front of the fiberglass (is this right? It sure doesn't look right), then the holes aren't even close.
3. In either case, the rear hole is way, WAY off. It hits the inner tire well on the wrong side of the mount (and that interference is why the front holes will only fit at an angle). The only thing I can figure in this is that I have the wrong piece, but it is supposed to be for a '68 convertible. What am I doing wrong???
