Rebuilding my heater box and came across this broken plastic doohickey, can't find a name to order one or anyone that has one, even tried Dr websites. You name it I'll send you $$$

Thanks everyone, chase is the winner! But I'm not paying 50 bucks, what a load. I did find an easy BETTER repair though. AC Blend Door GenII how too

That repair method looks like it would work well. I'm guessing the part is expensive because they aren't remade and commonly break. The rest of the heater box would have to be destroyed to justify pulling that part off of it.

Hi S,
Your photo is interesting for another reason.
It shows where the bracket for the passenger's side courtesy lamp was moved to on cars equipped with air conditioning.
That's a question which is asked on occasion!

I rather doubt that was a determining factor in his effort to find a solution for the problem. And I doubt he will lose more than a couple of seconds sleep worrying about the consequences of applying a common sense fix to an obvious poorly engineered factory part.
