Anyone with Quickjack Experience
The Jan 2018 issue of Vette Magazine has a little page 8 article about the Quickjack. I'm looking at the BL-5000 SLX model. Summit catalog part 5175376. It's about $1300. It has a minimum height of 3 inches ...will fit under a C3, and a max height of 17 inches.
Has anyone bought one? How do you like it? My concern is that if you have the car jacked up, it looks like you can push the car sideways and the whole thing would fall over.

I bought one about 3 months ago and it is great. I have a 69 and it works really good for getting under the car with lots of room. I also questioned the safety of it falling and came up with the conclusion it will not fall over. I do put jack stands under each wheel but feel I am wasting my time but they do not get in the way. I recommend it! (I have the 3500).

I bought a BL-5000SLX almost 2 yrs ago, and I am very happy with it. I don't have the ceiling height for a full sized lift, so this is a great compromise. I wish I had this thing a few decades ago!!!
It is very safe and solid with the car on it, I have no worries about it falling over. I made a little video of it lifting my car; it has 2 lifting heights, and I stopped it at both on the way up:

Hi 68/70,
I've had one for almost 2 years.
I like it very much and find it easy to use.
With the Quick-Jacks in place access to the underside of the car is still very good.
I find it to be very stable even at the upper position of the jacks.
I like the fact that the wheels can easily be removed if desired.
An especially good choice for someone with limited height in their garage.
Regards,
Alan

I've used it on 3 different vehicle including my Z06, I think I'm going to like them.
You can purchase these cheaper directly from quick jacks with 100.00 off coupon code.
Off the top of my head I cant think of the code, I found the coupon code looking through goggling.
I did attempt to wiggle from side to side while all the way up, it felt secure to me though I do put jacks stands down as a back up safety.

If I'm really going to be torquing on something I will place jack stands in key spots as a backup, but I've never felt they were really needed.

For the jacks, sorry never used them but they do look interesting. I have a quicklift and never use it, these might work or was it a maxjack, with portable columns?

I use one on my cars. The only car that doesn't clear is my 85 modified - the C2 and C3's clear with no issue. The 85 is too low so I use 12x20 wood blocks to drive on to lift it up to get the jacks under the car.
I would have liked another 4" in height, but it is ok as is.
Very stable and well made.
There is a complete thread on the jack, it's still active.

Hi,
One thing that 7t2's video shows that hasn't been mentioned is that the car isn't raised 'straight up' like a 2 or 4 post lift.
The car moves forward as it raises.
I realized I had to have the car in a certain place to begin with in order for it to be just where I wanted it to be in the 'raised' position.
Regards,
Alan

I love mine too.
To make it quicker to set-up, I put tape on them to make sure I put the rubber blocks in same place each time and I made a small paint mark on the frame where they should lift it.
I also cut a piece of a wood 2x2 down to use as a measuring stick, so that I can set the the correct distance from each other without having to break out the tape measure.
If you're here in SoCal and can go pick them up, you should call Quickjack and see if they have any specials or open box deals. They're located in Santa Paula.

As attractive as the home lift/small spaces concept was, it still looked flimsey to me. I just wouldn't trust my life under it despite the affadavits from our forum bretheren, here. Things that appear too good to be true almost always are.
But, admittedly after seeing this video (below) this evening, I really want one under the Christmas tree. A 5000 model because I occassionally help my son with his Ford Ranger).

Hope this perhaps, maybe helps others who are on the line.
