After recently picking up my 78 vette. I discovered the door (round) key fit but wouldn't turn the spare wheel lock. I was just to the point of drilling and saw your post about picking the lock pin. I had a pick tool in my gun cleaning kit. I just spent 3 minutes and had it off. The pics you posted were a big help. Thanks!

You could have shot it off in less than 3 minutes.

Yep, that would have solved the problem. And the resulting ricochet would have hit the gas tank and burned the garage down over the puddle of fiberglass. The fire department always looks for interesting tales to tell when things are boring in the station.
