Wiring Question - 1968 427 with C60 air
I'm in insulating the tunnel under the console and found this. There are four cut wires and they are not capped off, but bare. There are two red (?), a white, and a blue wires. I can't find them on the wiring diagram in my assembly manual.
Anyone have any idea what they go to? This is a big block with C60 air, so I wonder if the harness had something that wasn't needed but I don't see the instructions saying to cut these off.
Thanks

When I replaced the AC harness on my 68 the instructions said to cut the connector from the dash harness as it wouldn't be used. According to the AIM it says to cut within .25" of the harness. Could it be that is what you're seeing?

Thanks, Sully,
I ran back through the standard wiring diagram and found they go to the standard heater switch and blower resistor inside the firewall. On the AC models, they have a separate harness that goes outside.
It seems strange that they have a "standard" harness and modify it and add a second harness instead of having an "AC" harness.
Anyway, they should be dead on both ends but I taped them up just in case since I have the foil backing on the insulation.
