Have you asked the shop guys how they put it back on ? , they might have just used double sided tape

mine was held on with two of those sheet metal type nuts that cut they're own thread as they go on .If they re-used them , if you have small enough hands and lie down at just the right angle you can get some sort of a spanner , deep socket type or better yet a ratchet ring spanner in there to get them off . They will be inside the aluminium triangular shaped brace thingy in the middle at the top of the steel bumper.

Also if you asked them to put the new one on and they didn't , maybe take it all back to them and get them to do it !

My 76 logo has to be put on before the bumper goes on, and so does the license plate light, so you may be taking the bumper back off to do this.

not a big project, just a lot of taking nuts off and maybe having an assistant to help. then getting everything adjusted back in place and tightened back up will take a little time and patience. maybe 2-3 hours(maybe more, don't know your mechanical ability). If this above your speed, then talk to who painted it, work out something with them. JMO NOW, I am going on what it takes to change out my early 76 corvette logo, yours may be different on a 77, it may stick on, do you have an AIM to reference to??

I agree to contact the shop also. Find out if it is put on with tape. Then all you will need is a hot air gun to soften the adhesive and pull it off.

Did mine also, its doable but a little tight up in there.

As seen in the pic the 4 fasteners must be removed and the support moved out of the way to gain access to that area. 2 in the back, towards the front of the car and 2 at the bottom. The bottom nuts are #5
