A black 427 69 Corvette with red interior is the most beautiful car on the planet....no contest.

Thanks. He sold it in 1972. In 2013, I found the bill of sale, warranty booklet and protect-o-plate. Tracked the car down in Massachuetts. This was at a NCRS show. I should have bought it, but don't have room for another car.
They had 2 Corvettes at the time. This one and a blue small block with side exhaust. At that time side exhaust wasn't legal for Pa inspection. So home came the gold big block. And to think, he went there looking to buy an XKE.

Neat story! You're very lucky to have been able to track it down. Too many times they're gone......

So, did the new owner end up with the documents? If so, I know you made his year!

They sound nice too...really LOUD! Only 4,355 out of 38,762 (11.2%) left the factory that way in 1969. This is one of them. No other C3s ever had the option.

Default Vette

This is a really nice thread that allows people to see everything from stock to modify. The colors and creativeness lends itself to people who can pick and choose what their interests are. Gives someone a lot of ideas for sure.
