I Won the Lottery - Now What
Well I didn't actually WIN a major lottery, but assuming you DID, what would you do next with your C-3(s)?
Would you buy a C-7?
Wait for that C-8?
Keep your C-3?
Just what would you do?
Me, I'd buy a new home with a 10 car garage and go shopping...
How about you?

David, like you a new waterfront home with acreage, 5,000 sq. Ft garage. Keep my current C-3, get a 69 L-88, maybe a 66 big block. If winnings large enough, help family and some friends. Oh yeah, change all phone numbers. Fun to dream but won't happen because I don't play, Mark

Op, edited thread to accommodate the C3 general section. Thank you
But I'd hand the dough to my kids, not spending a dime.

Keep both cars. Buy or build a house with a very large garage/workshop and add lots of cars. New cars are nice and fast but the older ones built right are just brutal. I like the open air loud noise smelly car every once in a while.

Lottery Win
I’d set the kids up first. Then depending on how much I won I’d do the following:
62 Fuelie
67 L88
New C8
New BMW for the wife.
Ron Fellows Driving School
Maybe expand the garage 👍

I would have a lot of things.....but one of the first would be either finding, or building a 1969 427 Big Block Corvette, black with red interior factory sidepipes, redline tires It is the most beautiful Corvette there ever was.
And I would not be giving my money away to my kids. If they want to win the lottery, they can play.

First I’d go shopping for the #1 car on my list.
Then I’d carry my new favorite coffee mug around all the time for people who asked me for money so I wouldn’t have to repeat myself.

I would probably buy around 50 more cars and hire a mechanic to keep them roadworthy and a body man to eat some of the dust. Have a personal test track in a figure 8 configuration at least 5 miles long so I wouldn't have to drive them on public roads. Most of my time would be spent shopping for parts, monitoring shipments and of course restoration. work. Pretty much what I'm doing now except for the test track, hired help and 50 more cars.

Looks like a lot of us have the same dreams... privacy, help loved ones, and lots of toys.
I'll take at least corvette of each generation: C1A -- 54 restomod, C1B --57, C2 67-- BBC, C3-- 70 vert BB, C4 Grandsport, C5 04 CE vert and/or 03 Electron Blue zo6, C6 -- 09 ZR1, C7 --17 blade silver zo6 vert, and a C8 in whatever color I don't have in the others.
I'll take an original Ford GT40, a early 2000's Ford GT, and a Brand New Ford GT.
I would not turn down a legit Cobra and a Factory 5 repro to rag on.
1967 Ferrari 275gtb, 58 BMW 507, 65 aston martin db5-- all 3 silver
A 1994 Acura NSX and a brand new one.
Throw in a Pantera, a vintage Lambo, maybe a gullwing, and 57 t-bird.
Then for family cruisin' I'll need a couple 1960's land yachts--impala, continental, etc.
A 57 chevy restomod pick-up truck for getting groceries and parts for the various restorations on 30's something ford hotrods that I'll wrongly think I can do as an amateur.
The wife will probably want a nice SUV--something you don't see everyday-- proabbly the new Jag. Might need another four-door to haul the kids around, too. Porche Panamera, maybe.
Then for when I tire of the beautiful and powerful, I'll need a Prius, Aries K car, or VW thing or bug, or a gremlin to inspire appreciation of all the others.
So, yeah, a really big garage.
Been fun dreamin'. Time to get back to work.

I would retire prematurely, build the shop of my dream shop in some warm (but not too much) place of the planet and go on building the ultimate C3, with carbon fiber, titanium and computational fluid dynamic softwares.
