Just bought an 81 for 2 grand, did I make a mistake?

Just looked at my spreadsheet and I have blown $3000 over 12 years (Purchases plus Shipping bumpers to get rechromed, etc)
Enjoy your car and wait for free shipping on orders over $99, 149, 199 from the vendors.

Lowbuck. And the car is no hackjob, its built with skills and thought over tossing money at it yelling "watch what i can spend"
2k for an 81 depends on the cars condition and what a buyer desires if it was a good deal or not,
He can drive it, so its better than my 69 right now...

Wow thanks alot for all the advice!! seems like you are mostly all saying it was a decent deal. i DID check for frame rust and it seems like all that is there is surface rust nothing deep at all. i checked where it kicks up by the rear wheel and it looked good. i got quoted on a paint job today. they said it would be 5k as it sits but if i get all the paint off they will do it for 2 grand. i was watching videos where many people were stripping their cars with nothing but a razor blade... i tried it on a section and it seems to flake off real easy. im tempted to just go at it and get all the paint off. ill include some pics.

You can't go too much wrong at $2K for that car.
Just depends on what you want, and what you find.
