I'm guessing the wreck WASN'T caused by not seeing the driver in front of him!!!

Sidepipe covers look interesting!!!

Interesting car, I kind of like these wagon conversions from a nostalgic point of view but the "jack off attitude" is a total turn off for me:

"Serious Inquiry ONLY if you know what a true custom car is really worth."

Translation: "I'm asking WAY more than it's worth so I won't list a price"

This car is going to need a ton of repair/restoration work and, while the designer, Bradley is worth some note, he's no George Barris or Ed Roth. Car is located in the Bay Area and undercarriage pics look like it was near the coast. Going down the street it's just another disco era wagon conversion.

I saw that last night when on my net crawl,
My first reaction was the headlights across the front looked like dog **** to me, especially with stock grill chin area,

I also do not see anything epic in a family truckster vette, Greenwood, ecklers and others all had their versions,
I like panel style best,
I do like the tail lights on this car,

Now its a basket case wreck,
And i would feel badly about being so negitive if it wasnt for the seller being an arrogant dbag,

If a guy wanted a truckster kit and a few other parts perhaps this mess could fetch 500 to 800....

From the hip?
I'd hit it between $,2500 and $4000 in it's current condition. These wagon conversions pop up fairly regularly here in California but, for some reason, they're usually beat to hell. If I could find a decent one that wasn't crashed, rusted or been sitting out in a field for 20 years, I'd like to have one.

In the late 70s early 80s my dad wanted a truckster then after seeing them in person He was put off as the way just the rear glass opens and the actual space it really doesnt add much and isnt very functional friendly,

He toyed with buying a rear ended c3 and doing a pickup bed, like an elcamino but a vette,

I wanted the panel style after i saw one with the rear modded where it opened wider, nice,

The ecklers monza hacthback looks better to me and is far friendlier to use, i could see it having more usable space,

Im actually hunting a wide body with the monza rear, that why i found the threads car,

Im guessing the seller is asking well over 10k

Interesting car, not my taste though. Has me thinking about my ‘73 L 82 that I owned back then, loved that car!

probably good if you go off roading.

The 70's had some strange - by todays standards - custom cars and bikes.

The custom vans were very interesting ...

From what you see of them, I like the upholstery detail on the seats.

Styling-wise, it's a dog's breakfast...I love this line:The car is currently not drivable but with time, money and the proper restoration this car will be the museum piece it deserves to be.

Just another point of view, but in my opinion, Harry Bradley is a true icon in automotive design. While the early Barris customs (with his brother Sam) are clean classic customs, or should that be Kustoms, his later efforts turned into, may I say, gimmicky car show and TV and movie studio novelties.
As for Ed Roth? There is no comparison to his showmanship and his amazing contribution to the culture of the era and his Rat Fink concepts continue to influence generations to this day. A true legend, but his cars were meant to push the envelope as far as design and were more art and conversion pieces than anything.
Harry Bradley, while not nearly as well known, was instrumental in many iconic designs. Most notably was his influence in GM and his contribution in design to the wildly successful '67/72 Chevy trucks. His designs were elegant and have stood the test of time. That said, sometimes a concept that may have promise on paper does not translate well to a finished car. Sometimes it just doesn't work for many reasons, But for this one, I suspect the headlights were meant to be much narrower but they may have built it with what was available for the builder at the time. And no, I would not call it a successful design.
The tail lights (which appear to be based on Tbird design) are interesting.
What would be really cool, I mean REALLY cool. Is if this car was a true Harry Bradley design and you could get the car at a realistic price, would be to get Harry to personally update the design with his current mindset and rebuild it accordingly. The stars would have to align and it wouldn't be cheap but I bet it would be awesome!
Just google Harry Bentley Bradley images and check out his beautiful artwork and contributions to car design.
