If those are the original tires, you may want to consider a set of new ones to drive on.

Great looking car!

Look for the date of mfg. code on the sidewall of each tire. The project car I bought had great-looking 8 year old tires. Within a week two of the tires began to shred the outer casing.

Very cool! First is the decision to drive it occassion or keep it as a trailer queen. In the event of the decision to drive it, then owner's have invested in an entire set of wheels and tires while keeping the originals in tact. Or, tires are purchases, using the original wheels and save the tires.

This article will help you understand tire date code that is on the inboard side of the tire.

What's the VIN (last five digits of serial number) and build date (trim tag date code on the driver's side windshield post). Look for something like H01

I do plan to drive this car on nice days. It’s just to cool looking to sit in a garage.
