That last pic is of the tank sticker, just off to the left of the fill hole, on the driver's side of the tank. Sorry to everyone for the delay in the pics--the upload process was glitchy for me.

Looks great. The car has beautiful lines. The assembly date on the stamp pad is about a month from final assembly of the car- perfect. I still get a ride, correct?

Hi C2,
"Did those cars come in all of the colors offered on Corvettes at the time?"
No they didn't.
I believe they typically were available in several colors, but not ALL the colors for each year.
The model in the picture is a 72. The date was molded into the license plate.
I think I have a 72 because there wasn't a red for 71...there was a yellow.
They became pretty big business for a while, (I sold one for a little over $500 in the mid-eighties), but I don't know how much interest there may in them now.
People began to 'speculate' on them by buying whole cases of them from AMT.
Vet-Vues Magazine had someone that wrote an ongoing column about models including 'promos' during that period of high interest in them. That fellow used to be at the larger swap meets selling them.
I think the interest in 'promotional' models morphed into the whole cast-metal model interest.
Regards,
Alan

What a nice group of photos showing your new car.
It's interesting to get a look at a car I haven't seen before.

I hope you have a good time as you get to know it.

I'm glad to see the original radio came along with it!
