BB Upper Rad Hose option with relocated Alternator
A while back there was a thread on upper rad hoses for big blocks and the wild bend in them to clear the alternator belt. Different manufactures seem to also have different amounts of bend
Anyway, as part of moving my alternator over to the passenger side I also went looking for a better solution since the bend looks extra strange when there's nothing in the way
Anyway, here's a GATES 20809 with no trimming
That's a swivel water next and it's a little higher and pointed slightly less towards the drivers side than stock but I think it'll still fit the stock style neck fine.
And the gates 208090 is for a bunch of Ford stuff and..... 69-76 Small Block Corvettes

The swivel water-neck works well, just buy a good one.
Make sure the size of the water neck is the same as the radiator.
Take a 3' piece of wire / coat hanger and bend it to fit, then go to the local parts store and match it.
That is what I did on my 85 and a few other cars with engine swaps...

No auto places around here stock much for rad hoses anymore so the days of matching cobbled together hose pieces and bent wires are pretty much gone, at least around here anyway.
But, Dayco (search dayco show me the parts) has a website where you can enter all the specs and it'll pull images of the hoses that match, a little scrolling and I eventually found this one, just thought it was funny that it turns out it's for a small-block

That really looks clean.
I put a BB in my 77 with a long pump and the alt on the passenger side.
Will have to make a note of that hose brand and part number.
Thank you.
