Default Non Stock Seat Suggestions Needed

I am starting to look for what my seat options are for my 69
I don't want to use the stock seats, which are a mess.
I am looking for something more comfortable and more performance
oriented, such as a Recaro style seat.
I am also open to other factory seats, like from a Fiero (how do those feel?)

What are you using that you like?

Thanks
Glenn in San Diego

How about the 1979-82 style Corvette seats?
Bolt in is a snap with no modifications and they are quite comfortable.

My 6t8 has Corbeau A1 seats, these are from a Fiero recovered with covers from Mikes. Very comfortable. T

I bought a set of 79 seats for mine !

The are as comfortable as a pair of well worn leather gloves but not like the pair OJ had !

The bolt right in my 77 but not totally sure if your bolt pattern is identical!

I have c5 seats but you have to fab up adapters for the stock tracks or make your own. I bought some tracks from summit and made those work. Feel 1000 times better than the 68 stock seats. I dont bounce of the door anymore. with the new foam the seat to stock 16" steering wheel was tight so i put in an IDIDIT tilt column

C5 or C6 seats is a great way to go. Lots of them out there used, and they feel great

This is a great idea
Seats can look great in the catalog
but in actual experience, not so much

Search the forum for mustang seats. A member swapped them out without much trouble. Can't recall the year but it will be in the thread. They looked great and I am sure you can find some mustangs out there to sit in. Good luck

I put Recaros in mine. They are great for AutoX but if your primary goal is comfort, you may want to go with some of the other recommendations you are seeing here. The Recaro are snug on me and I have a 33" waist. I'll look up my thread on the install if you want to know more.
