1978 Corvette u joints without grease fittings?
Hi, I own a 14 K mile Corvette. I am servicing the car, and greased the front end. When I got to the rear half shafts, the u joints do not have a grease fitting. Is this because they are most likely original? Did the originals come from the factory without grease fittings? How about the drive shaft as well??
Thanks in advance for any help!

A late FYI from an amateur: When I disassembled the original ujoints on my '68 project to inspect the needles, the grease was practically "wax" in it's consistency. I found the same problem with the bearings in the trailing arm housings.
It is a good thing I did not "trust" the grease to be usable.
