Default Finally got one!

For as long as I’ve owned my 77 I’ve searched for the recalled horn button and lock ring. I’ve been close on some auctions and others have sold right before I found them. Anyhow finally found one, it has a couple blemishes but considering the age and the scarcity I won’t complain. Now as I could never get one and my original steering wheel was less than nice I replaced it awhile back with what I found available. Since it is chrome it now doesn’t really match so do any of you guys know of a place to get my original with the brushed spokes refurbished

Woo hoo !

I'm not sure where you could have that done and maybe someone else can point you in the right direction on that, but , I have a new wheel that if I'm correct came from corvette america!

I also bought that from David so maybe you can check them ( c.a. ) and go that way if you have to !

I have some other info on this subject I'll send you in the mail also !

Thanks, I had tried so many times to buy one and just missed that I had resigned myself to probably paying dearly if ever found one. I was watching one on eBay for $299 but it doesn’t have the lock ring and this popped up as a similar item. Amazingly I hit the buy it now and it was to me with shipping for under $40.

No worries Ray. I’m still cleaning out from yesterday’s foot of snow(on top of what we already had) and it’s still freezing here in this horrid part of the world.

Ask Ernie at Willcox, he has a real good test chart that will help pinpoint the problem and what is needed to repair it.
