corvettes in the winter

Back then, "traction control" was a steady right foot!!
I used to see this guy, regularly, around my area, but haven't seen him in a couple of years. In the summer, he'd have a couple of jet-skis on the trailer.
My wife had two C-3s, over the years. The first was a '76, which she had when I initially met her, and it was a DD, therefore it went out in the winter. Shortly after we met, I did her a favor, and gave the undercarriage a thorough flushing.
The second C-3 she had, was a '79, which was also a DD, for the first couple of years she had it. We broke up for several years, shortly after she got this one, but when we got back together, knowing the it had been through some snow, I gave the undercarriage a good bath. She wound up keeping it until 1997, and it still was pretty decent underneath.

Now that's funny.
I've been driving posi RWD cars since I was 16. Learned how to drive first winter that way, and been driving posi RWD cars ever since in the winter. Had one economy FWD car for a year while I was doing a minor restoration on the vette - HATED IT.
Drove my 76' thru several winters back in 1996-2000 time frame. Only issue I had was damaging the cat. converter once due to high snow and a lowered car. Recently I drive a truck in winter, but for years I drove several Mustangs thru winters and didn't really see what all the fuss was about, especially the last one that has traction assist on it.
