Horn wiring at the horn
I am confused about horn wiring on my 82. The connectors from the lights wiring harness have two dark green wires going to each horn. On each side, one wire has the connector that connects to the horn, and the other wire is just bare. I suspect Bubba has been here. What is the correct wiring for these pigtails? I assumed the horns grounded thru the horn case, but are these ground wires?

Hi D,
The 80 AIM appears to indicate the horns have at least one (maybe 2?) ground connection (s) and 2 power connections.

Thanks Alan, I looked at the AIM for my 82 and the wires are indeed grounds. My horns are mounted in the fenders, however. Makes it fun and exciting to remove and replace!
