very low miles '73 value
Sorry if this has been asked a billion times.
Imagine you had a car with less than 20000 miles in front of you, looks like it's just rolled off the production line, perishable items have been replaced, paint original but good. Base engine, auto, no AC or power windows. '73 T tops. Well documented. What would it be worth?
Asking for a friend.

Difficult to say without pics. You've seen the car; we haven't. Your friend may want to consider having the car appraised.

your friend isnt hear Pittsburgh are they?
they was a 73 with a claimed 7,500 original miles for sale here a few months back. It was on craigslist for awhile, think eventually the ad expired. I cant remember what their final asking price was, know it started at $20k and was down to maybe 18k or 17k? far as I know the car never sold.

Joe, I'm very surprised that a 7,500 mile '73 wouldn't bring 17 or 18K.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I know that is a smart *** answer but very truthful at the same time. We can ballpark worth (assuming seller is in the ballpark) but at the end of the day it comes down to how bad the buyer wants it and what's its worth to him.
Example; Say the car is worth $18K and the seller want $21K, I would not let $3K get in the way of a car I really wanted.

As it is my friend’s wife has decided she doesn’t like yellow metallic much, so the job is most likely off.
She is paying half.

It's a chrome rear/rubber front bumper car....a transitional oddball year Corvette. One-year only design, like the split window C2's. Some say the '73's will be worth a lot some day. Maybe. Anyway, I'd value a car of that description at around $12k to $16k.

from the claimed mileage standpoint, buying or selling. I would ask/pay an extra 15% for a car with those miles vs. a similar car with 120K miles on it. some will pay more, some will pay less.
finding that buyer that will pay extra for lower mileage will take time. and one would have to show reasonable evidence of the sellers mileage claim in order to get that increase.

That seems like a very low value for something close to being perfect. I wish I could find one for that. I've been looking for some time. The car in question is up for $26K

Most Corvettes have well under 100k from this era. At 100k, 60's-70-s cars are pretty well done. Everything is worn out. I would be less interested in a car that tired. Under 10k can be verified? That adds quite a bit of interestingness to the car. How much more it'll sell for depends on who is looking for a serious low mileage 73.

The Corvette DNA app for a car with less than 25K miles and in excellent condition shows a price of $14,175.

It's pretty car, but I would have some concerns.
Under the hood, it looks like it "just rolled off the production line" because it's been restored, detailed, painted, etc, or whatever term you want to use to describe restoring it. Also, the A.I.R. (pollution) system has been removed. As a buyer, these kinds of things would have me questioning the low miles, and "original" claims about the car.
As far as value, a couple years ago a friend of mine had a green 73 Coupe, base motor, 4 speed, with power steering and brakes, but no AC. This was a very original car, with about 23,000 miles on it. He had been advertising it for $29,000, which I thought was nuts. It took him about a year, but he ended up getting around $27K for it.
If your friend is interested in it because of it's "original" condition, he should probably have it looked at by someone familiar with original "Survivor" type cars.

Last year I came across my 73 for sale at a car show.
It is beautiful.
It was a second owner car, with a big block, a/c, and all the options and 108,000 miles.
It had been garaged, was a California car, and I crawled over and under it and found no rust or signs of prior damage.
Everything works on the car and it runs and handles very good.
The owner was asking $20, 000.00 and I took his number.
I had the car appraised and the appraisal came in at $18,500.00 and that's what I offered.
I'm extremely happy with the purchase and I probably paid a little to much but it is in wonderful shape.
Looking at your photos I'd say $17,000.00 to $17,500.00 would be a good price.
Keep in mind that the 73 is unique and may be worth more down the road.

Thanks for the replies. I’ve watched prices in these for sometime and I don’t know but corvette dna sometimes seems a bit off. There’s a lot of ‘73’s out there at the dna value that are not nice at all. The search continues.
