Default question on valve cover bolt reinforcement pieces

Okay, on my 70 base car, I have a mixture of these. Some the ends are rounded and others the ends are straight. Which ones are correct or did they come in a mixture?

Hi Mako,
I believe all the re-inforcements used on 70-72 stamped steel valve covers had straight cut ends.
Both recessed head and standard head bolts were used. It wouldn't be unusual to see a mixture of bolt head configuration and marking on one engine, but only the one configuration of re-inforcement would be typical.
Regards,
Alan

Same shape as used with the chrome covers on my '70 LS-5.

Hi HRG,
I'm sorry, but the bb valve cover reinforcement is a different shape than the sb reinforcement.... as your photo shows.

Alan
