Default Convertible top 1969
Need to replace my top, would going to a canvas/cloth take away from original vinyl top.

Define "take away". Vinyl was original, but choice for the new top is up to you.

Unless you're going for NCRS judging, I wouldn't worry about it. If you go to sell, I can't see anybody dinging you for having a new canvas top. JMO.
