When I first got mt 78 I bought one of those laminated color coded sheets ( 2 actually with almost all of the options wiring on the back. A big help for me even though I am completely rewiring the car with an aftermarket kit. BIG sheets and easy to follow.

In addition to the color-coded, laminated schematic (by Olsen Engineering) I use the 1978 GM Electrical Troubleshooting Manual with a Pace Car on the cover. The latter is great for troubleshooting and includes a table that describes the location of components. Its an 11 x 14, 34 page booklet and I've found them at swap meets as well as through Corvette literature vendors. I use mine frequently

So if, for example you're troubleshooting the power antenna, it tells the operator the relay is under the console, the antenna body is in the driver's side rear wheelwell (sort of), wire colors and how the circuit is intended to operate. Quite thorough. I've attached the anti-theft power door lock circuit.

Hope this helps!

here is one
That one looks like it is a black and white, probably not as useful as a color one

I got mine at Carlisle, a Corvette manual vendor seems to always have them but I can't remember their name...it will come to me eventually.

1979 manual has the same colored electrical troubleshooting guide included. Got a good used one on eBay. 78 and 79 are almost identical.

Good for 1978 also

Here's another one. I bought one a couple years ago, and well worth the $$
