friends,
I thought I had read about the shift plate on the 69 vette changing its screw pattern a few times in the year. the latter being like the '70. anybody have any thoughts? I have to replace my beat to crap shift plate and I have a '70 screw pattern on it.

The plates changed three times during the 1969 model year run.
1st design had trim screws in the four corners
2nd design used the four corners and two in the fiber optic area
3rd design used the top corners and fiber optic area
The 70-71 plates are the same as the 69 3rd design.

The JG also mentions an oddball version that had a funny looking data plate. I had one on one of my ‘69s.
