Help with valuation on car I'm looking at

Melting Slicks
A "good" quality (not even perfect) paint job is the most expensive part of this hobby. Everything else is painless in comparison and can be fixed with a wrench and a beer. The perfect condition 72 base T-top is worth "X" - start deducting parts/labor to get there and you have a fair price.
Base on the few pics you have the current owner appears to like "paint" as a solution. I'd be suspicious of any mechanical repairs/claims/skills.
The aftermarket tailpipes and seatbelts are good examples of "non-paint" repairs.

Just another Corvette guy
If the car has been painted a Ford Blue, it's close enough to Targa Blue that most would never know the difference. I know I wouldn't.

Hi K,
I added this to my last post but it may have been after you read it...
so here it is again.
ADDED:
I just realized... when you said FORD you may have just been describing the color.
I THOUGHT you were saying it had been PAINTED a Ford color.
There MAY be no issue with the paint!!!!
Regards,
Alan

So far I don't see anything that would turn me off of this car at ~22K Canadian. I would be ok with the paint but certainly some strange choices have been made that would need to be addressed. I wonder what else is painted orange. :-)
