How much would my 1978 Corvette be worth?
1) Silver anniversary year (not the model) with hood ornaments & steering wheel showing this. Automatic.
2) 45,375 is the actual mileage.
3) Repair record available.
4) One owner (little old retired school teacher).
5) In very good working condition (i.e. air conditioning, power windows, etc.)
6) Two sets of T-tops available: Factory made (same color as car) and see-through T-top.

“One owner” meaning you bought the car new? Do you have original documents and paperwork? Are you sure the engine is original to the car?
Info like this could be the main driver of value for your car, along with condition such as old damage or rust.
A car of this limited description could fall between $5k and $15k. We need more detail + photos to get closer without putting hands on the car.

Another guy with a 2 post count looking to find out what his car is worth? You obviously dont want to own a C3 Vette so just trade it in at a car lot on a Ford fusion and go enjoy that.

A yup.
Well lets see, the name sounds like it's a woman, plus the fact of them saying " YIPPEE". I think its the exwife who won the car in the divorce. And now to **** the ex husband off, she is selling it. So her friends told her to hop on to a corvette site and see what it is worth. Do I have any takers ?

My take too. She didn't want the car, just didn't want spousal unit to have it. So, 2500 bucks, tops.

Sight unseen hard to say.
It doesn't sound like a show car that consistently wins but more of a nice well maintained driver so
Hagerty guide for a 78 vette in condition #3 with good paint or #4 would be a wild guess. Give or take a few thousand.
#3 ~$10,900
#4 ~ $5,600
Probably somewhere between the two numbers depending on the specific details. That price would require a motivated buyer that really liked the car.
If the car is a consistent winning show car and meets the #2 criteria ~$15,000
Concourse #1 condition ~$27,000
Many people tend to think of their car as one condition better than it actually is for what that's worth in my experience.
If it is the X's car the best revenge is to make the 78 nicer and better than it ever was when the X owned the car and enjoy joining the Corvette fraternity.

low miles .repair record. one owner[little old school teacher]car has not been altered or hot rodded .for some one looking for that year vette its probably a nice car .I would ask 12,000.you may have to come down but I would start there.I also would try car max because of the low miles a dealer may want it.My local chevy dealership asked me if I wanted sell my car .

I think the easiest thing to do is ask the ex-husband how much he is willing to pay for it, and sell it to him...it then goes to the best home it could have...and if you tell people how you got it they are likely to low ball you or walk away.
