Default Clutch Question for my 69

Hey Guys,

What should I expect to pay for a clutch install on my 427 390 horse?

Also If I decide to handle it myself, what is a good brand to purchase?

Thanks in advance!

I had vibration problems with my Centerforce dual friction.
Switched to a McLeod and have been very happy with it.
Other good brands out there also.

I have no clue how much you might pay due to we do not know where you live and what the average labor rate is.

I use SPEC clutches and flywheels.

tranny will have to come out, which means shifter will have to come out, which means exhaust will have to come out. if pipes are old and rusty, bolts are gonna break, escalating your cost. if you have a shop do it, they won't guarantee their work unless you do a pilot bearing, throwout bearing, and a flywheel resurface or replacement. while its all apart, maybe have your tranny rebuilt, new u-joints?
I would be afraid to even ask a shop... good luck!

Do it yourself, have an adventure, and save yourself a bundle. The forum guys have your back. I have had excellent luck with RAM clutches.
