Default T/T Column question

Hi all,

Can someone explain to me the difference between the column hub extensions between 75 and 77? In looking at Jim Shea's papers, and looking at the AIM (75) and blow up diagrams from the vendors, I don't see a difference, other than part number. The hub itself (part # 3949110) is the same for both years, but there is a different part number for the extensions (3949109 for 75, and 458910 for 77+). I will begin the process of rebuilding a 77 T/T column soon for installation in my 75 and need to get an extension. The 77+ part number is hard to come by so if I can just use one from an earlier T/T column, I will do that. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bryan
