Well the cold weather has finally arrived in Georgia, and I placed the hard top on my 73 convertible. When I hoisted it off the roller stand I noticed that the side bracket on the drivers side is missing. The rear long threaded shafts are installed through the chrome holders on the rear deck lid. My car doesn’t have any other holes for attaching the top. I remember an old post from DUB about securing the hard top. I am wondering if he was talking about securing the side bracket, but I am not sure. Do I need the missing side bracket? I dont see the brackets listed in anybodys catalogs. The hardtop does have the three front latches that press against the top of the chrome windshield frame. Any help will be appreciated.
Try and stay warm.

Question about vapor canister.
How should the lines on the carb to the vapor canister and vacuum advance be routed? The vacuum advance for the distributor is connected where? On the pcv valve? I have my pcv removed and the question is how to properly attach all the hoses that the system will work?

I found the brackets and while they aren't real cheap, they are not off the charts high. But finding another set would be very hard.

C3 corvette 76 headlight vacuum
Hi, I have a 1976 stingray corvette, now the headlights go up and down abit slow and sometimes not at all. I have done troubleshooting for awhile now and just can't figure it out, the lines are all good and the actuator seals are brand new, now when I unplug the hose of a relay from the vacuum tank and plug my finger over the tank hole used for the line, the opposite side shoots up or down, ( depending on what you have it set to do ) and vice versa. I thought it was a relay but. Now I am not so sure and I do not understand what's going on. Please give your opinions and help on this issue because I don't want to waste money on something that may be working right. And is it possible to have a bad vacuum tank? I don't think it's the issue but idk at this point; thanks.

Alarm Circuit
You may remove the horn located below the antennae, along with the key switch that turns the alarm on and off. The alarm is connected to the rear door adjar switches and I would leave this wires/switches intact. I have included a wiring schematic for you to have.

I'm re-commissioning the air conditioning on my 1979. I'm trying to confirm is the Air Conditioner Orfice Filter 77L-99is correct for a R134a system or is it different for a R12 gas system?
Thanks, Alan

73 Wiper Adjustment
Ernie
i received the brackets for the hardtop and want to say a big Thank You for getting them to me. I am about to tackle my wipers arms and saw your Wiper Arm Adjustment Instructions that cover up to 72 models. Should I follow those instructions since my car is a 72, without the wiper door? I know that it looks like I am becoming paranoid, with the year change for 73.
Thanks for all your help.
