Just make sure you buy a big enough air-conditioned garage

Congratulations,
My wife is retiring next year with 35 years and I've still got four to go to get my 30 years in.
Enjoy everyday.

Congrats on becoming a retirement "rookie"! It took me about 2 nanoseconds to 'adjust' to the concept of retirement.

On another note.... I'm trying to figure out how GATOR454 always shows his number of posts as '666', regardless of how many times he posts???? (post #14 in this thread)

{Is the 'bad boy' in the basement now posting on CF? }

We were both single, the job was our life and all our kids were grown.
We met in the office four years ago, got married and now we are ready to share a life filled with new adventures.

Congradulations brother. I have 10 months to reach my 25. I think I’ll be ready but I’m sure I’ll miss the troops and all the comrodary.
Stay safe

Retirement....there's nothing like it!!

I retired from "full time" work 10 years ago, after 37 years on the job. I was still pretty young at the time, and I wound up working for the local Advance Auto Parts store, for another 5 years, driving one of their delivery trucks. I gave that up, 4 years ago.

Congratulations, Marshall. I'm a retired police sergeant from Ohio and have been retired now for 22 years! You are going to love it. Every day is a holiday and every night is Saturday night. I live on the gulf coast of Florida in Bradenton. If you move anywhere close, we will have to get together in the future sometime. I'm now driving a 1978 Indy Pace Car and put about 5000 miles a year on it. Love it down here in Florida and don't miss the winters up north at all. LOL.

I only did 3 years as an army MP. I learned a lot but law enforcement wasn't for me.Tbhen almost 40 years with a manufacturing company. Retired 1 year ago and loving it. I traveled 5 million miles on Northwest and Delta for work. So happy to be home everyday.
Enjoy every day.
