Help me decide on seat covers
I've taken the plunge and bought a pair of Fiero seats. Thanks Tim 1973
I'm trying to decide which direction to go with Mr. Mikes seat covers
I have dark saddle interior (1971)
I like this look and think it will look better in my darker interior:
I'm also thinking of doing something in two tone like this but the black would be substituted with dark brown and the insets would be the dimple hole style fabric:
Something like this but this picture doesn't show the whole cover:
or this:
I might spring for some different color piping and stuff like that.
I'm not going to do the speakers but am thinking about the through the seat seat belt option like the old school seats. I'm going with what Mr. Mike calls the Vetter style. It has the horizontal pleats. I'm choosing this because 1. I think it looks better than the vertical pleats and 2. My e-brake aftermarket pad has the pleats in the same direction at the Vetter covers. Ultimately it's my decision but wanted to get feedback from the group.

Corvettes are very nice cars. Corvette seats? At least 77-back? Not so much... I mean what you are replacing. It is one area these cars can be improved.

Very nice naramlee. Hope mine turn out that good. I'm going with leatherette as I have a convertible and think leather would be too hot. That is also why I'm leaning towards the perforated panels where the skin hits the seats.
What I'm looking for in opinions on what would look best. Your honest opinions are most welcome. I asked my wife but she just said "whatever you want" no matter how hard I pushed her.

Me personally, I like the first picture you posted.

Single color, corvette flags, appears factory. I am not really a fan of 2 tone and agree with you on horizontal pleats!

that brown leather is really sexy, hard to beat the look
just follow his directions exactly and you'll get it, I've never done seats before, so that says something for his work, guess when you've been doing it for 30 years you can make it dummy proof, provided they can just read and follow simple orders

With that stunning exterior color, I think the seat bolsters (sides) should be a pretty good match with the exterior paint and the seat portion be a medium tan shade (like in first pic).
IMO, the interior needs to be as "exciting" as the exterior.

Are your's pictured or mentioned on Mr. Mikes web-site. There is one that shows a custom job with comfort weave inserts. If you don't mind me asking how much did the comfort weave material cost for Al Knoch? I may go this route to make them feel and look original.

All the seats pictured and the one's I bought off of Tim 1973 are 84-88 Fiero seats. Probably the easiest seat mod you can do to a C3's as these seats don't change the sitting height and they are not too wide to not fit. There is a kit to attach the original seat brackets to the Fiero seats or you can make your own.
I owned an 1986 Fiero (I really miss that car, wish I still had it. ) and the seats were very comfortable. I've been wanting to do this mod for a long time.

Mr. Mike has an eye for attention to detail. I had a "Crazy" Idea to reproduce my Father's exact signature from an old personal document and Mr. Mike made it happen.! I couldn't thank him enough for making that happen for us!!

84 GT Fiero seats
they were pretty rough shape originally too
I had a long conversation about, How Fiero had the best seats till the late 90's 'vette seats, so they were custom made in Italy for Pontiac, go fig
original seats
