Default Carlisle Wish List - Time To Plan

I am heading to Corvettes at Carlisle again this year and my shopping list is very, very small. I enjoy looking for and finding the parts needed for projects and in the past I have offered to shop, search, and buy items for folks that cannot make the show. This year will be no exception. If you have an item you need and just cannot locate it, and you want me to look for you at Carlisle, please let me know by PM and we can set up information about what it is you are seeking, condition of the part or parts you need, what your budget is, etc.

I will be at Carlisle Thursday, August 23rd through Saturday, August 25th. Sunday the 26th the suppliers and flea market folks usually bug out (some on Saturday afternoon) so the early bird usually gets the better worms.

Have a need, let me know. Have a wish list, share it. Need a set of eyes to find you a contact, I'm your guy. Just can't make it to the show, sure you can, let me do your walking, I can use the exercise.

I don't charge anything for this service. I am just trying to help keep the hobby going and help out my fellow Corvette enthusiasts. Has it worked in the past, yes.

Need something, let me know, I will build my list over the next six weeks.

Good luck and best regards,

David Howard

Hey David,

I will be there early Saturday morning to chase you down and get the seats your bringing. I will be there all day, so if you need a hand with grabbing anything we can hang out. I my self need carpet and door pulls. Maybe emblems too. I will call you when I get there.

Five weeks away from Corvettes at Carlisle. Our materials usually show up about four or five weeks before the show so I suspect our parking permits, entry permits, etc. will be arriving any day now. This year I am not taking my Corvette, neither of them, but will be driving my truck and pulling my 24' trailer and parking it at the show. That means lots of space to take items to the show, and lots of space to bring items home from the show. Need something, say something. I can take photographs of items and send to you, I will just need your name, phone number, what you are looking for, and your price range for the item or items you seek. PM me that data or send it to me at AllVettes4Me@gmail.com and lets see if we can help you get what you need.
Best regards,
David Howard

Just another example of what an upstanding gentleman, David Howard is.
I first met David on the forum 2 yrs ago when he offered this service.
He did me so right in finding the rear fiberglass I needed, that I was blown away.
Since that time he has been super generous to me in all purchases.

YOU cannot go wrong trusting David to find stuff for you.

Have a great show all of you.

I was planning on being there but heart bypass surgery Aug 9 and 6 wks recovery eliminates any chance this year.
As the Cubs used to say.....there is always next year......

Seats and hardware will be in my trailer that will be stored outside gate number 3. Easiest to move them from my vehicle to yours when you are leaving the show.
Lets make sure we swap phone numbers again before the show so I can put you in as a contact and not ignore the call because I don't recognize your number, okay?
See you at Carlisle.

Doctor has cleared me and said I can go to Corvettes at Carlisle if I rent a scooter to get around and don't do any heavy lifting. I can do that so I have reserved the scooter now and I will be going to Corvettes at Carlisle as I had originally hoped. My wife, my angel, has agreed to come down and be my assistant during the show as well so I am blessed to have company and assistance moving stuff around.

So I am coming, I have a few items I am seeking for my friends, I have LOTS of room in the truck and trailer to bring items or pick items up, work me folks.

Best regards,

David Howard

Great news David! Wish I could join you both but I don't think my heart guy is going to let me out of the coop for awhile.
I'll have to rethink my wish list now that you are going again. If you don't mind holding until Fall trip up there. Of course, I'll pay immediately.
Take care my friend.

You are a lucky man. Can the Boss drive the truck/trailer?

Yes I am lucky Bob, and no she doesn't drive the truck and trailer. I can drive, I just cannot lift heavy items or do much strenuous work. I can bring the truck and trailer, haul a frame is someone needs one, bring some parts in the truck, and generally be smart with moving stuff around. I will have a scooter at the show now to help me with the size of the park and my limited walking long distances. All in all I should be able to make that work. Will see you in Carlisle Bob.
