Default Air Conditioning fender clip removal

This is a clip that holds AC hoses. It affixes them to the passenger fender. The entire assembly is riveted to the fender. Is there a way to remove the clip for restoration? Was this clip originally gloss black or oxide? It looks like gloss black.

Think that's for the heater hoses

Fred you are correct. Sorry, going from memory. Any thoughts on unclipping for restoration? Original color?

Think they are black oxide coated.
They are a pain to unclip/clip on - that's my memory from the one I tried to replace several years ago.
I'm sure someone knows a simple way though.

Squeeze the two sides of the clip. These can A. break, B. be difficult to reinstall.

I'd leave it be and recondition it in place. Here's a good source:https://www.caswellplating.com/anodi...ch-up-kit.html
