Are you going to replace the rubber cowl induction ring?

The power brake booster looks really nice. It has the right gloss to it. Well done.

I didn’t paint that .... lol. I had to buy a new one when mine died last month.. probably the only thing I didn’t paint..It looked so nice that it made everything else look terrible. That’s what made me do all the cosmetic work to the engine.
It wasn’t a cheap booster either... genuine GM Bendix reproduction.

The rest of the engine comp looks great too I just looked right at the booster because mine looks so bad in my eng comp. I was hoping you could tell me what you did to make it look so good......So let me ask you this. How hard was it to replace? I never took one out. I heard the bolts are not so easy to remove.

You can make yours look good....get some dupli color at auto zone , mask the area off real good.....prep an patience is the key. I painted my dual snorkel air cleaner twice before I liked it. I painted my air conditioner compressor too. Booster is not easy because its hard to get to bolts and you have to pull master cylinder and bleed brakes... I paid someone $300 to do it for me....it was worth it

You should try a good wax on your booster and see if that makes it look better before attempting to paint..... I use NOVUS 2 plastic polish and it does a great job on paint.... its used to polish plexiglass on airplanes and convertible rear windows....great for yellowed hazed headlights on modern cars too.

OP, if you flip the throttle spring around to hook at a point forward of the carb you will find the pedal will feel better and work better.
