There are some mods you simply MUST NOT do to a beautiful Corvette. Here are some of the worst.

I am not saying I like what I have seen (the wagon look has been around for years), but if we don't have people who are willing to take the chance, and push the envelope on looks, then we end up with one hell of a lot of very boring cars. (which is what the corvette world is full of now).

I always wanted a corvette that looked like a shark. With metal bumpers or grills that looked tooth like and maybe vents on the sides that looked like gills.

Things we should not do: suppress individuality. It's their car, their money, their vision, and this is a free country. Or, is it....?
I kinda dig the leopard skin car. It's badass! Josie and the Pussycats type deal. lol.

Noisy negativists as i like to call them,
They bray, do it exactly the way i tell you to or its wrong , you are an idiot and i am butthurt insulted,
Egos big as a mountain fragile as glass,
Say another word and you get an essay why its okay for them to be angry , bitter , critics and say whatever mean nasty thing they desire..
Car hobby camaraderie and kinship?
Forget about it...

70s vintage pic, looks to be? Dig it, but also like crazy flares, scoops, custom paint,. metal flake etc
Too many cars these days all look the same. Same wheels, same "mods", boring.
Cant see the allure of making your car the exact same as everyone elses

I think there is an important idea that this thread is trying to communicate. Although the idea could be delivered in more bubble wrap so less people will be offended, the lesson is still there if you are looking to understand. There are many ideas that seem great on paper or in someones head, but once applied to a corvette the intended effect can be lost in translation. C3 corvettes are very difficult to modify without looking overdone or tacky. All I would say to someone trying to customize their corvette is to think long and hard about the mod and if you really need it, and try to model it out in adobe illustrator otherwise you may end up spending thousands of dollars to make your car less desirable, valuable and resellable. But to each their own, if you want to paint your car neon purple, modify your headlight opening, put a huge corvette emblem in obscure locations on your car, or argue for the sake of arguing, its your choice.
