Some guy took a pic of my car on the track
I was at a cruise night recently, standing by my 77 and a guy who I had never met asks me if I raced the car at Island Dragway. I said yes and he said he had a picture of it going down the track and he would send it to me. I gave him my email address and said thanks. A couple days later I get the attached pic. This was at a race last September when we were racing 1/8 mile. That explains my 7.86 dial in. So this was taken somewhere before the 1/8 mile point. The other guy must have been just in front or just behind at that point. Its interesting (to me anyway) that the front end is still pretty high - not too good for aerodynamics. Most pics I have are at the starting line or in the burnout box. Anyway, I think its a good picture for an amateur, and it was free.

That's a great picture. What a nice guy to put you and your Corvette with the picture he took and offer to send you a copy.

That was nice of him for sure. The funny thing is - he's a BMW guy. He showed me some pics of his car (taken by someone else) on the Watkins Glenn road course. He goes there and runs laps with other cars on the track but you're not supposed to be "racing", and they don't time your laps. To each his own I guess.

Great pic! Interestingly, I've been noting that all the pics of my car on track (not drag strip) are nose up too, unless I'm under brakes, despite my nose down stance at rest... This was last weekend.

That's a good pic too. I'm sure you have a front sway bar in place. People ask me if mine is removed or disconnected to explain some front lift. But, its in there with good end links.

Mine stays pretty level down track even though it starts out nose down. Stays down better when I have coil overs on it (even with loosened shocks) than it does with drag springs and 90/10's.
