A new GS for me, a new pickup, and whatever car my wife wants. Put the rest into the retirement account and cruise the oceans.

I'd buy one of these cars:

Ride behind an Amtrak train (when they allow it) or park it and enjoy life in it.

Converting one to live in....on a quiet mtn lakefront lot would be awesome

-Completely restore my 02 Silverado .Paint, front end rebuild and do a 6.0 that makes good tq

Either sell the 383 out of the camino and do a mild 400 w/street blower, put ac back in...T400 and a tall gear, fwy flyer type thing. Those cars ride so damn nice on the hwy!
Or do up an older flared out C3 similar. Something fun, basic not so pretty that functions.
No interest in anything new nor having a bunch of stuff to maintain .

Richard beat me to it, but a Lamborghini Miura in orange or green.

I wouldn’t put it in my living room though, I’d show it regularly.

#2 would be ‘55 MB SL gull wing, silver over red.

This may sound strange but I'd buy a new car for the wife first, then I'd buy several cars that remind me of my younger years.

As much as I hate to admit it, first would be a car for my wife, either a brand new daily driver or her dream 64 1/2 Mustang convertible, and then I'd be golden to buy something else for myself, so for me it would be a big block 65 or 66 Convertible 4spd, with side pipes. But, as others also said, 3million isn't really that much, so I'd start with finishing paying off our debt, then set ourselves up for a comfortable retirement, then the cars!

63 Corvette Coupe (The year I was born)
67 Camaro (to replace my wife's mothers car I let get away from me in college)
2010? Lime green Camaro V8.(1 year only car, will go up in value)
Late model Mustang V8 (has to be a 1 year only car for value).
Maybe a Delorean, Just for fun.
A house on a big piece of property with a big garage for the cars.

After paying debts, maybe buy a house, some vacation, funds for the kids, set aside for retirement, the rest to have fun with. Probably more than one, but my first one would be a brand new Z01 . Then, always having loved wagons, there is a 2000 Rolls Royce Seraph custom wagon to satisfy my unusual wagon craving.
What's yours??
I would actually finish restoring my 76 vette. Then next would be repaint my 94 vette Then after that I would chase down a restored 69 427/435 vette.
After all my toys were set, I would buy a brand new 2018 corvette zr1 to drive to work.

Under 3 million is not that much to go crazy with. I would use most of it to make a comfortable retirement for my wife and myself. I would pay off my house first and then probably replace my 03 Avalanche with a new truck. The salt up here has taken a toll on the body. Probably would replace my wife's Lincoln MKX, it's starting to get some miles on it. I'd keep my CTS Coupe and 75 Vette. After all that I would put thought into a new toy.

Now if we were talking 300 million, first I would have to buy some property to put a building on to fill with a collection of cars I lust over. Maybe a true documented L88 as my first buy. A front engine V12 Ferrari would be awful tempting too.

Mike

My choice would be a Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spyder. I think I would need a little more than 3mil though as a rhd spyder sold for 2.4mil in 2014.
