Great thread and the blue looks great.

Looked for the Firestone wide ovals on line as I need to replace my Goodyear Eagle GT2 and I've been struggling to find replacements that I like. £1,400.00 or $1,775.00 in your coin + fitting.. gulp

I’m not sure we printed that sheet, but I remember seeing it on the dyno software, I think on one pull it was 817 cfm

So a 950 hp would be almost perfect for that combo. I would imagine that 850 is very crisp and responsive.

Made some serious progress today. I have a lot of detail work to do obviously, but it’s running, no leaks, no weird noises. I’ll knock the rest of it out on Thursday, then to the exhaust shop next week..

Yes the car is filthy, it sat outside on jacks over night and got rained on so....it needs to be washed now. Also the valve covers on it are temporary, I’ll put the new ones on last.

This was with my 850 cfm carb. The 1000hp dyno carb was about 4-5hp over the 850, but we didn’t test the 1000 again after the 850 went on and we started cranking up the timing. It “would” have made 702-703hp with the 1000 but....All in all, I’m very happy with it. What Mark Jones does with these things is pretty amazing.

Love the torque. Over 600 lb-ft at almost every rpm! NICE!
Those Wide Ovals don't stand a chance. lol

Yeah no doubt. I'm about to order up some new MT ET Street R tires for my spare Rallys. I'm not expecting the Wide Os to do much of anything good....(grip, handle or stop)...lol I'm probably gonna get some Wide O Oval tire stickers made up and attempt to put them on the MTs to keep it stock looking.

Looks terrific and I like the idea of the stickers.

Alan, what are you doing for the new exhaust. From memory, you had a really nice 3 inch system.

Iím using the same exhaust system, however the new headers have ball style collectors and the header exits are a bit narrower so....we are gonna have to install new collectors on my current 3Ē system and likely re-fab the pipes a bit at the collector. Itís scheduled to hit the exhaust shop next Thurs. Its hard to find exhaust shops that do stainless pipe work and tig welding.

I just stumbled across this thread today. It takes a lot of effort to post all the pics and tell the story around the project so thanks so much for sharing. Incredible job and the results look amazing. Congrats and enjoy!

Awesome! And thanks man. Glad you enjoyed it. I always love seeing build threads with pics so, I figured I'd do it too. I've done a lot of them here at CF over the years. I'll continue to update this thread with vids, racing etc etc...

This thread seemed a little slow to catch interest at first judging by the replies but....eventually people saw it.

Alan - excellent work and results, as usual. One thing though - don't let the guys at the exhaust shop test drive it.
