seat ideas for my 68
So I was finally able to sell the Camaro seats that came in my car and now I need to get a new set. I've been debating between going with stock 68/69 seats or going with some aftermarket seats. I found these online and was wondering if these dimensions would allow the seats to fit? The seller said I would have to make a bracket to get them to mount, would stock tracks work for this or would I have to get a bracket made from a fabricator? I was also looking at the Corbeau seats but I read that they limit headroom and I am 6' so I dont think those would work for me.

Nice seats. The easiest route would be to use a set of factory seat tracks. These seats are close to factory size so they will fit, but doubtful they will mount up without some type modification. You will need a way to mount the aftermarket seats to the factory tracks. Perhaps that's the bracket the seller is referring to.

Those are nice looking seats you posted, compare the measurements to the Corbeau A4 seats, that's what I have in my 6t8. Just remember that seats with bolsters make egress more difficult. T

I was looking at the Corbeau initially but my concern was the headroom, I saw your thread with those seats installed. I'm also putting in a smaller steering wheel so hopefully that helps with the getting in and out aspect. I saw that Wedge makes brackets for 68s to accommodate aftermarket seats. Anyone have experience with this bracket?

I would definitely have that same problem, I have power lifter legs.

There's two necessary measurements missing from those seats. The distance to the top of the bolster and the distance to the seat bottom of where your bottom sits. Cuz like you said you're 6-foot it's not just ahead room when you're sitting in it it's the Headroom to get in it. I think those side bolsters will be too high. My 75 coupe I had to squish my head down to get in over stock seats.

I know what you mean by having to tilt my head in order to get in. All these aftermarket seats are nice but it seems like in order to ensure I actually fit into the car I should stick with factory seats. The tracks are the same from 68-72 is that correct? Im wondering which years of seats would just directly bolt in.
