1969 427 435
Hello everyone
I am new to the site and excited to be a part of this. I have a question, I have a 1969 427 435 4 speed vette L89 the center carb bowl is leaking at the fuel inlet. I pulled the bowl off and the threads are so worn out I need to replace the bowl. Who sells the correct bowl for my car ?the list number on the carb is 4055-1 . Or can the bowl be rethreaded?
Thanks

I have a local shop that can get you the correct Bowl (will be period correct, need to know if it has the vent lever assy on it) or if your not worried about NCRS judging, they can sell you a more modern used Bowl. The differences are visual only, the original Bowls had pat. #'s etc. cast in them.

Send an email to Lars. He has a repair for the Q-Jet, maybe he has one for the Holley.
And Congrats on the L89-- one of 390 built in 69. My 69 was one also- unfortunately, I don't have any of the documentation or the original engine.
