Hmm , it looks like the alarm wiring plug that goes on the back of the key switch on the left fender.
Set up was originally to the same switch (spring loaded pin) as the headlight open light switch on the older vettes. That sat behind the key switch so if someone ripped the key lock out it would trip the alarm on anyway.
Especially as that wire looks like dirty old white colour.
I must ask , how does your car steer ? as that rag joint looks very sad .
