Default What is this? 1978 Corvette

What is this? I'm new to owning a 1978 L-48 Corvette and I've been looking around a lot lately..... To me, It looks like a horn located below the driver side front fender between the firewall and tires. Is this the alarm horn?

what is the blue thing? Located under the steering column, attached to the dash..

Thanks for the information!

You win! Alarm horn,
Blue thing, hum, not factory, looks like a tag hanger for socks,
Someone popped it there

I believe the blue thing is add-on device, if you unplug the blue thing ( its called a dongle ) i believe the car will not start
I could be wrong tho, trace out the wires and see where they go.

Thank you for the information... I've been tempted to pull out the blue thing and see what happens... When I bought the car the guy vaguely mentioned about a key and an alarm but I didn't get clarification at the time, and have been curious ever since.
