Ordered a correct style, metal housing, rear parking brake cable from Willcox to finish out the rear brake/ parking brake portion of the project. I should be able to complete the project this weekend and be ready for alignment.

On the wheels under it’s own weight, minus the rear calipers, so I could tighten the spring to differential bolts. Just a few details remaining.
I’m pleased with the angle of the half shafts.

My car in sitting on its wheels and tires! I even backed it off the Kwiklift, into the driveway and let it run for a few minutes.
Today I installed the Wilwood rear calipers, bled the brakes and installed the new, original style, rear parking brake cable(Willcox). I will get an alignment this week if it ever stops raining here. It feels great to finally be to this point in my project.
In reference to the Wilwood calipers, it was necessary to install one shim to center the calipers. There were eight washers supplied with the kit, one washer between each caliper and the mounting bracket per bolt hole was required to center, the remaining four were used at the bolt head which gave good clearance of bolt to rotors. I bled the rear calipers unmounted and vertical so the bleed screw is above the bore, as has been mentioned here many times, worked perfectly. The Motive pressure bleeder made bleeding the system a simple one man job, something that I know my wife appreciates, having been the pedal pusher many times in years past. Wheels and tires! Handy to have shop made tools from leftover brake lines
In the photo below...just to let you know because I do know I can only see one side of the upper shock bolt. But where I have it circled in yellow. GM put the split lock washer under the head of the bolt and then used the thin nut on the other side.
So...if you could get a split lock washer on the other side and get the nut on....due to it is kind of tight back there....or are using a locking nut...all is good. IF you do not have a lock washer on this upepr shock bolt...you might want to get back into that area.
Like I stated...all I can comment on is what I see. And for what it is worth...that upper shock bolt is special with a long shoulder on it so the shock is not riding on the threads.

DUB, I am using the factory upper shock bolts, with a lock washer and the thin factory nut. I actually took the bolts out after first installing them in order to reinstall with that gold washer, it’s a thin washer and there was sufficient threads available. Thanks for the information. I was unaware the lock washer was factory installed on the outboard side, it’s definitely tight on the inboard side.
I hope to get an alignment Tuesday, it’s not supposed to rain again until Thursday.

Just back from a run to seat new brake pads and burnish the new parking brake shoes. Car is up in the air, level on master cylinder with bubble to rear of car, checking for air trapped in master cylinder by pushing the brake pedal and releasing. There was no trapped air, I never emptied the master cylinder of fluid until after all lines were replaced, then I removed old brake fluid and debris and refilled then pressure bled brakes. It was easy to check and worth doing. So many smart and experienced folks out there passing information on to me, thank you.
If you are having trouble getting all the air from your brake system watch the videos posted here on the forum. One again, big thanks to cargotzmann! I will be using your heim link to aftermarket swaybar mount as soon as I order the bar. Thanks to ronarndt for sharing his swaybar project and also ignatz. If I failed to mention someone my apologies but still thank you.

The AIM drawing gives a measurement of 26 3/8" between the cradle, measurement "A" in the drawing below, my car measures 26 1/4". I run a Speed Direct spreader bar and do not expect to see that figure change. 73,74 frame drawing

With the arrival of the Global West lower control arms this morning I disassembled the front suspension and began the reinstall with the Global West parts. The lower control arms are now installed, I will install the uppers Monday night after taking delivery.
