Painting engine bolts
Hey everyone
What paint do you guys use to protect old engine bolts (water pump bolts, bracket bolts, ...) from rust?
The bolts of my intake and headers are new stainless so these aren't a problem regarding rust and age.

Some will not agree as they claim to much build up. But I find less paint used with far less build up if you prime with Rustolium primer for rust, then cover with engine paint. I have found that much less paint is needed if you start out with a primer.

Bolts were NOT painted...but coated black oxide. To protect there are two products I would recommend:
'Boe-Shield T-9'...which is what Boeing uses to coat their aircraft. Manufactured by PMS Products, Holland, MI.
'Gibbs Brand'...I purchased it locally at a swap meet. Wish I had more.
I have used both product to protect corrosion of bolts & hardware. I have experienced 7 years before needing to re-coat for show quality appearance.
