Default #4 body bolt and cage nut.

Number 4 is in the car towards the rear of the interior. Instead of lifting the rug can I drill a hole in fiberglass under the car and spray it in that way. There is a boxed out area around the cage nut. Spray the PB blaster in the hole and then fill it in.

the nut plate is riveted to the floor, and the lower box is riveted to the floor [on a conv-theres a top box plate -to mount the deck lid hinge],just lift the carpet and the #4 mount/bolt is right there

that cage is a convenience item to hold the nut in place during assembly when new. it will not hold the nut while you unbolt it. I think a piece of square tubing will sit on there. hold it with a pipe wrench. but most often the bolt gets cut out.

You'll likely shear the cage off
Some screwing around with square tubing worked for me

BTW, it should be behind the carpet IIRC, convertibles are under the spring and hard to get to as well

When playing around I found a 1-1/4 piece of square tubing seemed to have an inside dim of just over 1" and fit the nut with no cage.

A 1-3/4 piece of tubing has about an 1-1/2 inside and fits with the cage on.

Weld a nut or use a larger adjustable to hold the tube and then tighten the bolt
