Default John Greenwood Car Craft Corvette finally finished

After purchasing the Car Craft "Big Banana", it is amazes me at how many people remember this car from 40 years ago and how much interest it still generates today. It was recently restored to its original colors and restriped back to the way it originally was by pinstriping legend Butch Brinza.

That is very cool! I was just wondering yesterday, about the 80's muscle cars and how they were done, graphics wise. A lot of panels, stripes and combinations of both, that made them look pretty neat IMHO.

So cool; any pictures of what it looked like when you acquired it? Was it in decent shape or had the years taken their toll?

Where is Butch these days, heard he moved from St. Francis Wisconsin. Remember being by his house when he had the candy tangerine T bucket. That paint on that car was so pristine it looked like you could see 20 ft deep into it. Also had a buddy that worked in his shop in Cudahy

Love these wide body cars but can never get around the Turbo Thrust wheels........I did not like them when I was little......
This car would take on a whole different look with a set of wide BBS or equivalent racing wheel....but, it is correct for the era.

The car was actually pretty well preserved, I purchased it a fellow Corvette Forum member who started the restoration.

Greenwood designed the body.......it is a copy of his race car panels.

That's awesome! I remember the car from back in the day and I love the Greenwood wide-body kits. What size tires/wheels are you running to fill those panels?

Looks great. I think I have an old CarCraft Vette issue from that era that covers the build.

The motor Car Craft built for the car was blown up a long time ago, currently running a crate 385 HP small block, car still retains Guldstrand suspension, koni shocks, etc.

The rear fender extensions, ........... the designer liked dually pickups. They don't flow with the rest of the car. Where is Larry Shinoda when you need him ? Glad your happy with it. I'm a little more conservative preferring the original C-3 convertible design but mostly the 3-7 coupe coke bottle edition.
