Sounds like you're chasing your tail a lot on these racks Amazing how sometimes something that should be simple turns around and kicks our A$$.

I believe they were just 1/4" x 1-1/2" stainless washers (but maybe 5/16) and I polished them up

A quick check online shows
https://www.homedepot.com/p/The-Hill...2915/204786120 but they might be thick, hard to tell on the picture

or google

stainless steel fender washers size 1/4 x 1-1/2" (pack of 50pcs) Marine Bolt supply and see what's on Amazon (won't let me link)

I may have gotten them from the marina in town but I try not to if I can

The wellnuts I used have a 5/8 diameter head on them and the rubber washers I have also have a 5/8 hole and 1-1/2 o/d, I can send you 8 of the rubber washers if you can't locate them locally

I'll pull one tomorrow and check if it was 5/16 or 1/4 bolts I used

Top picture are the correct rubber washers. Get them from Corvette Fasteners

Thanks, Mooser.
I tried Home Depot, also- N/G.
Yes, agreed. What could be more simple than getting ss washers, right?

Thanks, 69FF - The head of the wellnuts I have cannot fit through the holes in those washers, and won't fit flush under the metal washers. I have those washers and they won't work. To make them work I would need a wellnut with a larger head with the same od as the rubber washers. Thanks.

what diameter are the bolts you have? Also, what is the diameter of the lip on the welnuts you're using?

I measured 3/5" od of the wellnut head.

The pics show how what I have cannot work together. Perhaps I got the wrong hardware with the rack? Maybe the wellnut heads should be larger so they can lay flat under the rubber washer, or the hole in the rubber washer should be larger so the wellnuts I have can fit within?

Note- I used cardboard for demonstration, that's not the car.

I know I have the rubber washers I showed above (The ones supplied in the kits are just meant to go right over the wellnut head) the ones I have will clear the head. 5/8 inside diameter and about 1.4" outside so just a bit smaller than the 1-1/2" washers like I showed above.
I'll see if I don't have any more of those washers, 1/4" id 1-1/2" od and they were 1/16" thick. I might (???) have a handful leftover, if I do they would still need to be polished because they are were never made to be pretty.
I'll let you know when I'm back at the shop Tuesday or Wed

OK, so as I thought, lots of the rubber washer BUT only one of the 1/4 x 1-1/2 thin stainless washers.
Your welcome to them (I wouldn't bother with the washer as any you get probably wouldn't match) or I'll call my supplier tomorrow and see if I can get a few from them
