4 speed shift linkage with heim ends
Does anyone use shift linkage with heim ends or have a vendor? I've been looking online, I can find pics but no vendors. Thanks for any leads

RR- not sure if you want this alternative, but the Hurst shift kits have bronze bushing inserts to replace the nylon ones that are usually on stock shifter rods. I think they are also sold separately. They take a lot of excess play out of the shifter rods. I put them on my car with the complete Hurst kit and it makes a very positive precise feel when shifting.

try one of the many circle track supply houses ...jr mtrspts, coleman, cv products
-edit- jr sold to karlperformance.com also see longacre and daymotorsports
-edit while you're looking, check out a LONG brand shifter (not, not the length) ...tough rail assembly... texracing, gforce, even summit has em these days.

If you are talking about the clutch linkage you can find it on Speed Directs website. If it actually is shifter linkage, haven’t seen it on anything except maybe Long shifters as mentioned by Jackson.

Before that, I had bought all the reproduction anti rattle springs and had it setup like it was factory fresh. No comparison. It still rattled.

Every time I've rebuilt my shifters- I got to the hardware store and get an assortment of Teflon washers. Get the thin ones- .015
Used them on the rods and on the shifter- put some graphite on them and it really felt a lot better.

Thanks, I just cleaned up that Hurst V gate last night. I took it completely apart and tanked it. Then cleaned all the grease out to see what I may be dealing with. Thanks for the idea

But let me add this...the Teflon is soft and will wear. If possible, use them as a "spacer" between a steel AN washer and the shift arms or between the shift levers and the transmission's levers. I think that the spring clips that are used to secure the linkage would tear up the Teflon in short order. With respect to the heim ended shift rods, you might also try Speedway Motors. They have a LOT of neat stuff, in their catalogs.

Thanks again, I usually have a hard time navigating speedway. I'll give it a shot though
