I wanted one of those 78 Pace Cars so bad but just look at the price difference between 68 and 78....
Only GM could get away with charging more than double for a car with less performance... Sure was a looker though!

not at all I have owned 3 vettes and I am working on a 72 now !! Just stating a fact, they are not good drivers . Maybe when they were brand new however after 10 yrs came around here came all the problems

I drove my 69 to work everyday for 35 years. Two tows and once I had to drive home two miles in reverse because my shifter locked up. I was definitely not going to call a tow truck.

Any car can be a driver if cared for. Bought my '75 in 1992 with 16,xxx miles on the clock (already 17 years old). Daily driver for 10 years (50,000+ miles between military deployments) and cross country twice. Then it became a fun car. Just changed the oil yesterday at 99,818 miles ( so that means 33,000 miles in the last 16 years). Gets driven average 2-3 times a week even with a 496 big block.
You have an opinion, not a fact. My opinion is that they are great drivers. No worse that the issues I have had with my 2003 Avalanche that has 165,000 miles.

Melting Slicks
My '80 was one of the smoothest, floaty highway cruiser cars I've driven when it had the stock springs and HD shocks. Only thing comfier was my parent's old Buicks they used to drive. It's a lot bumpier now with the Van Steel Street and Slalom suspension, but that's because of me since I wanted a better setup for handling.

My brother had two C3's back in the day and they were both daily drivers. I would bet most were except maybe in the snowbelt area.
He also pulled a ski boat with his '78, was not an issue at all.
